Pelvic Pain

One cause of pelvic pain and heavy menstrual bleeding is faulty veins. This is often not picked up and requires special scans to show this problem. Fortunately it is something that can be treated effectively by our team.

  • If scans show that you have leaky veins in your pelvis (just above your legs) then these can be treated in a process called embolisation. There are different agents that can be used for this but all aim to block off the faulty vein so it does not cause any more problems or pain.
